Overview
Health Through Action (HTA) is a multifaceted program that strives to improve the health and health care for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander children, adults, and families. This $16.5 million community investment initiative is the first cooperative effort between a private foundation (W.K. Kellog Foundation) and a national AA&NHPI organization (Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum) that is united against health disparities among AA&NHPI communities

The mission of HTA is to improve the health and health care for AA&NHPI children, adults, and families. HTA aims to eliminate health disparities in the AA&NHPI communities by supporting community-based organizations.

HTA is comprised of several components:

  1. Empowering local and regional communities to increase community capacities
  2. Propelling strategies to icnrease data collection and research
  3. Building a national network of AA&NHPI communities by forging bonds among organizations
  4. Advancing policy and advocacy efforts for improved AA&NHPI health and health care
  5. Supporting the development and implementation of an NHPI health agenda
