Overview
Health Through Action is working to strengthen national policy and advocacy efforts through meetings with national legislators, federal and state agencies, and similarly oriented organizations. By working tirelessly, HTA is ensuring a prominent visibility of AA&NHPI health and health care issues at different levels of government.

HTA is empowering communities to advocate for their needs. HTA grantees receive training, then travel to Capitol Hill, where they voice concerns and raise awareness of AA&NHPI health and health care issues among national legislators.

AA&NHPI health issues are raised at the annual Congressional Tri-Caucus Minority Health Summit, a forum for health disparities among communities of color. The Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, Congressional Black Caucus, and Congrsesional Hispanic Caucus attend the summit and invite leaders of their communities to join in discussions focused on strategies and solutions to eliminate racial and ethnic health disparities.

HTA hosts the Health Leadership Summit, at which select national leaders of AA&NHPI communities, from a diverse range of backgrounds, are working towards developing a national AA&NHPI health agenda and action plan to increase visibility of the AA&NHPI health movement.
