  • According to the US Census 2000 there are 186,310 multi-race, multi-ethnic and single-race Hmong of which 169,428 are single-race.
  • According to the US Census 2000 there are 198,203 multi-race, multi-ethnic and single-race Laotians of which 168,707 are single-race.

FACTS & STATISTICS

  • The Association for the Advancement of Hmong Women, Minnesota, saw 32 victims of domestic violence in 1999.  In 2000, that number increased to 46.
  • The Hmong American Women's Association, Madison, provided domestic violence services to 95 women in 2001.
