Community Engagement Assistant
Trish Quema is the program assistant of the engagement branch at the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF), a national health justice organization which influences policy, mobilizes communities, and strengthens programs and organizations to improve the health of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.
STATE CANCER HEALTH BRIEFS
The state cancer health briefs provide information and data on the top 21 states with the largest Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander populations. Included in the health briefs are demographic data from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey 2006, except where otherwise noted, and disaggregated Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander data to show the changes in the populations from 2000 to 2006.

APIAHF and Taulama for Tongans collaborated on this project. Taulama for Tongans is a non-profit community based organization in San Mateo, California dedicated to improving the health of all Tongans through education, advocacy, research and service. This project is supported by the San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate of Susan G.
A small group began meeting in December 2005 to discuss ideas on cancer outreach.
