You need JavaScript enabled to view it is the HIV program assistant for the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF), a national health policy organization dedicated to strengthening policies, programs, and research to improve the health and well-being of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.
As the HIV Program Assistant, Venessa is responsible for performing administrative and support duties. These include management of electronic program telecommunications, databases, and websites; conference and meeting coordination; assisting in program documentation, support, and evaluation; and providing administrative support to the overall HIV Program division.Prior to joining APIAHF's staff, Venessa was the Events/Help Desk/Database Coordinator for the California Charter Schools Association. In that role, she provided technical assistance, conference and meeting coordination, and database management support for the Knowledge Management team. She has a passion for working for and supporting non-profit organizations.
Venessa received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in Sociology and minor in Psychology at the University of California, Davis (UCD). While at UCD, she was a part of the University Honors Program (Davis Honors Challenge), Circle K International (an international service organization), and the Campus Judicial Board (a body appointed by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs to uphold academic integrity and standards of conduct for students).
