Alice's work seeks to ensure that national and state policies address the specific health needs of the AA and NHPI populations. One of the key missions of APIAHF"s policy work is to mitigate and eliminate the health disparities that persist in these communities. Specifically, Alice's work focuses on ensuring greater collection of ethnic-specific health data and research, the provision of linguistically and culturally appropriate health services, and the elimination of burdensome barriers to enrollment in health benefits, among other efforts.
Previously, Alice served as the Health Law Policy Staff Attorney at the Asian American Justice Center, where she advocated for health care reforms that would alleviate the challenges facing the Asian American and other low-income, minority and immigrant communities in seeking access to quality health care. As part of the Georgetown Federal Legislation Clinic, she also worked to pass the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act.
Her published works include a scholarly piece on contraception and op-eds in the Northwest Asian Weekly on health care reform.
Alice holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.
