SAN FRANCISCO -The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) congratulates Kiran Ahuja on her appointment by President Barack Obama as executive director of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
"For two decades, Ms. Ahuja has been a tireless advocate for women of color and has been a respected leader in our work to improve the health and well-being of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities," said Marguerite Ro, interim president and CEO of APIAHF. "We look forward to working with her to increase opportunities for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders to participate in federal programs, and to working with her to improve the quality of life for our communities."
The Asian & Paciļ¬c Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) influences policy, mobilizes communities, and strengthens programs and organizations to improve the health of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.
