Celebrate Health Care Reform's First Birthday
In order for the true promise of health care reform to be fulfilled, we must defend it from efforts to repeal or weaken the law. By celebrating the one-year anniversary of health care reform we are highlighting the progress that has been made in creating a more affordable and just health care system. The time is now to celebrate the promise of health care reform.
Birthday Event Celebrations
Using the Happy Birthday ACA: Planning a Birthday Celebration for Health Care Reform members of AA and NHPI health organizations in 23 communities in 15 states held birthday party events to celebrate the largest overhaul of the health care system in decades.
Delivering Birthday Cards
Many of our partners delivered birthday cards to their Members of Congress which were signed by members of their communities. Our policy and advocacy team also delivered birthday cards with the signatures to 19 Members of Congress, including the U.S. House and U.S. Senate leadership and the chairs of the committees that considered health care reform legislation.

Our San Francisco office thanked Leader Nancy Pelosi with a card that contained messages and signatures from community members nationwide who had signed the birthday cards online.
