The House Republican plan will leave fewer Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders with coverage (including COFA migrants), less financial help, increase costs and end Medicaid as we know it.

Today House Republicans will mark-up their plan to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in the Ways & Means and Energy & Commerce committees.

ACA opponents are doing this without a score from the Congressional Budget Office and full understanding of what impact repeal would have on the 20 million Americans, including 2 million Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, who could be impacted by repeal. APIAHF opposes the House Republican ACA repeal and replacement bill because it is not a true replacement, as outlined in testimony submitted today to the Energy & Commerce and Ways & Means committees.
