APIAHF's HIV Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) is client-centered and focuses on long-term skills-building and empowerment. We use cutting-edge theories and practices and focus our methods of delivery around Adult Learning Theory principals.

Our HIV CBA staff, subcontractors, and consultants are funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control to provide CBA in the following main areas:

Organizational infrastructure and program sustainability
Evidence-based interventions and Public Health Strategies
Monitoring and Evaluation
HIV Prevention Community Planning

Community based organizations can take advantage of numerous forms of CBA from our staff, subcontractors, and consultants, including:

One-to-One Tailored CBA

Over a period of up to four months, we can work with your organization to address a particular challenge or take advantage of a pending opportunity. We may provide a specific CBA service for you (aka technical service) such as facilitating a strategic planning retreat for your staff and board, or we might help coach you (aka technical consultation), through the steps in facilitating a strategic planning retreat.

Trainings and Webinars

We regularly conduct trainings and webinars, and have existing training curricula across a variety of topics. We can develop or customize a training or webinar for your organization's unique assets, challenges, and skill level.
