Venessa Laurel [1] is an assistant in the Organizational Capacity Building branch at the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF), a national health justice organization which influences policy, mobilizes communities, and strengthens programs and organizations to improve the health of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.
Venessa provides administrative support to the HIV Program. She also manages electronic telecommunications, databases, and websites, coordinates conferences and meetings, and assists in program documentation, support, and evaluation.
Prior to joining APIAHF, Venessa was the events, help desk, and database coordinator for the California Charter Schools Association, where she provided technical assistance, conference and meeting coordination, and database management support for the Knowledge Management team. She has a passion for working for and supporting non-profit organizations.
