The Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) population is growing rapidly in the United States and has diverse health and health care needs. The Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) Affairs Program strengthens the capacity of NHPI organizations, coalitions, and leadership to promote programs and policies geared towards a national health agenda, one that will continue to progress in years to come.
NHPI Affairs seeks to create a network for disseminating and sharing health information, resources and policy issues among the community-based organizations that provide health services to Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders. Our goal is to increase visibility for Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders locally, nationally, and in the U.S. Pacific Island Jurisdictions. We are also working to ensure the delivery of health information and resources through local community access points and key provider intermediaries.
