Asian & Pacific Islander Tobacco Education Network (APITEN)
Before the AAPI Partnership, APIAHF’s tobacco program was the Asian and Pacific Islander Tobacco Education Network (APITEN), which was formed in 1990 with the mission to organize individuals and organizations to advocate for tobacco-free Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities. APITEN strived to counteract the factors that contribute to high smoking levels in our communities, through activities that fall under the following categories:
