APIAHF Cardiovascular Resources

APIAHF’s Chronic Diseases Program has various AANHPI cardiovascular resources to share with health advocates, researchers, organizations, and key policy decision makers. In the past, APIAHF collaborated with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and various AANHPI community based organizations to develop reports on cardiovascular disease risk in specific AANHPI populations.

South Asian Health Project

The South Asian Health Project (SAH Project) provides opportunities to develop and implement new and innovative strategies, thinking "out-of-the box" from traditional approaches to public health and minority health dialogue. Through its work, SAH Project hopes to shift dialogue away from disease and treatment to greater emphasis on healthy lifestyles and prevention; similarly, shift focus away from community needs and deficits to community resources and assets. http://www.southasianhealth.org/yourhealth/HH/southasiansandheartdisease.aspx
