The American Diabetes Association supports the National Diabetes Education Program's new campaign "Take Care of Your Heart." This program helps Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders with diabetes and their families understand the need to prevent complications and to manage all aspects of their diabetes. On this website, there are resources available in these AAPI languages: Cambodian, Chamorro, Chinese, Chuukese, Gujarati, Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Samoan, Thai, Tongan, and Vietnamese.

AAPCHO's BALANCE Program for Diabetes is designed to work cooperatively with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health's National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP). The primary activities are aimed to increase the awareness of diabetes in AAPI communities, improve the treatment and outcomes for AAPIs living with diabetes, promote early diagnosis, and ulitmately, prevent the onset of diabetes.

The first bilingual site with interactive tools dedicated to improving diabetes awareness in the Asian American population. The mission of the AADI is to enhance the quality of life and health outcomes of Asian Americans living with diabetes through research, education, outreach and improved treatment options.
