Trish Quema
Community Engagement Assistant
Trish Quema is the program assistant of the engagement branch at the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF), a national health justice organization which influences policy, mobilizes communities, and strengthens programs and organizations to improve the health of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.
Prior to joining APIAHF, Trish was a journalist in the Philippines for three years. She produced documentaries for television, using story telling as a medium to inspire and compel social change. In addition to journalism, Trish also has experience in developing marketing and communications strategies, and she worked at Sociometrics Corporation doing business development and also at the United Nations Development Programme, as part of their Communications team.
Trish was recently a Campaign Fellow at United Way of the Bay Area, a nonprofit organization. While there, she cultivated relationships between corporate donors and other organizations, working on programs that leveraged UWBA’s campaigns on poverty, health, and education.
Trish received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, with a minor in English Literature at the Ateneo de Manila University.
