Communities
Health Through Action (HTA) aims to eliminate health and health care disparities and inequities in Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities by supporting various community investments and promoting systems changes.
Strengthening Communities:
The HTA Community Partnerships Grant Program provides funding and technical assistance to 18 Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities in 15 states. Eight grantees were awarded four-year grants and are coalitions of community based organizations, consisting of a lead agency and several partner agencies. Three grantees received two year grants, and one grantee was awarded a one year grant.
Areas of Focus:
APIAHF provides technical assistance to HTA partners in the areas of organizational development, coalition building, advocacy, data, local evaluation and strategic communications.
HTA grantees provide direct services, raise awareness of local ethnic-specific health issues, and work with policymakers to increase available resources for health care.
