Recognizing that the paucity of research and data has hindered efforts to address health disparities for AAs and NHPIs, we conduct independent research projects to help improve understanding of AA and NHPI health and to raise awareness of health issues disproportionately affecting our communities. Our findings are intended to help elected and appointed officials, community leaders and advocates, and community residents to develop appropriate policies and programs and strengthen partnerships to reduce and eliminate health disparities among AAs and NHPIs.
