Gail Mukaihata Hannemann oversees a consulting practice that advances causes such as STEAM* education, health care and youth leadership that result in bettering the quality of life of individuals and communities. She resumed her practice after serving twelve years as Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scouts of Hawai`i, a statewide membership organization that focuses on the leadership development of girls.

Committed to ensuring that nonprofit organizations strengthen their communities, Gail serves as a Director on several Boards. She is Vice-Chair of Hawai`i Medical Assurance Association (HMAA), a medical insurance company; Vice Chair of the Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum headquartered in Oakland, California; and former Chair and current Member of the Hawai’i Arts Alliance, an educational program of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
