Meet Check Up, Check In’s Hosts
AJ Titong
AJ has the heart of an activist and an overactive imagination. In her element, people see her as a visual storyteller, a brand protector, and communications strategist who can work with people from diverse backgrounds. Her experiences dive into the fun and creative side of communications. She loves interweaving data and storytelling into purposeful design, used to run marathons for the views, and loves getting lost in new places. AJ is also a Daly City native and can tell you where the best Filipino food spots are in the San Francisco, Bay Area are.

Lauren Pongan
Lauren brings several years of experience in Asian immigrant health and social justice work, as well as freelance journalism to Check Up, Check In. Her past work has included Asian American (AA) domestic violence services, sharing weekly meals with AA elders, and leading AA teens on outdoors and leadership trips. She’s an advocate of self care, empowerment and active listening. She’s mixed-race Filipina, Ukranian, and Irish and is passionate about telling/hearing stories, eating ice cream, and swimming outside in all seasons. As a recent transplant, she’s enjoying Oakland’s sunshine and beautiful views but remains loyal to Philly.
