COVID Collaborative a National Platform to Combat Pandemic

November 24, 2020

WASHINGTON — The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) announced its participation in the COVID Collaborative, a national platform to combat the crises of COVID-19. In partnership with the National Governors Association, the COVID Collaborative brings together the nation’s leading experts in public health, education and the economy to take unified action to stop the spread, flatten the curve and to safely and sustainably reopen schools, businesses, and other places where Americans gather.

APIAHF’s chief executive officer, Juliet K. Choi will serve as a national advisor on the Collaborative’s Vaccine Education Scientific Advisory Committee. The bi-partisan national advisory council is chaired by former governors Dirk Kempthorne (R-ID) and Deval Patrick (D-MA). Other members include former cabinet secretaries, surgeon generals, and industry and community leaders.

“APIAHF is honored to serve as a part of this nationwide effort to combat the effects of COVID-19,” said Juliet K. Choi, CEO of APIAHF. “The COVID Collaborative will take decisive action to stop the testing crisis, promote public health measures to stop the spread, equipt schools to safely reopen, and will promote safe and effective therapeutics and vaccines. We are proud that the inclusion of communities of color and other vulnerable communities means our voices will be represented.”
