Chris Chyung is the Policy & Community Advocacy Manager at APIAHF. He is a former member of the Indiana House of Representatives. Elected at age 25, he served on the Veterans Affairs & Public Safety, Roads & Transportation, and Financial Institutions Committees, and as Ranking Minority Member of the Local Government Committee. During his tenure he traveled to and met with leaders in Korea, Japan, and Mexico as well as with members of the consular corps. With experience as a real estate professional, he has spearheaded legislation on topics including security deposit insurance, banning source of income discrimination, expanding housing choice and affordability, and land banking. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University and sits on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana.
