Communications and Marketing Strategist

Danny is the communications specialist for APIAHF’s Capacity for Health project. In his role, he manages contracts, research, and campaign direction related to marketing development. A skilled storyteller, Danny utilizes empathy, data, and a passion for community building to understand the needs of people and how to amplify their voices.

Before APIAHF, Danny was a college instructor and arts educator. He writes and publishes fiction and personal essay, and you can find him dancing and practicing circus acts in his spare time around the parks of San Francisco.

“I got into public health because, as a child, I saw two of my communities being devastated: the Southeast Asian community with refugee trauma and the queer/gay community with HIV. I want future generations to never have to experience the same thing.”
