Experience Assistant

Ruby is the Experience Assistant for APIAHF’s Capacity for Health (C4H) program. In her role, she creates seamless experiences for C4H’s service deliveries. This includes training production, managing registrations, and serving as liason between capacity building staff and clients. As a program administrator, Ruby supports Health Forum’s goal of building the capacity of the public health workforce.

Ruby graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health science and has a passion for health equity and justice. She has worked in an administrative setting in the health field as well as a natural products retailer where she provided holistic health education consultations to guests. In her spare time she likes to read science fiction and unwind with an episode or (two) of Seinfeld.

“I developed a passion for health equity when, growing up in Oakland, I witnessed how inequality in access to health care services was damaging children, families, and the community. I envision a world in which access to quality health care is a basic human right, not a privilege. ”
