The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) and its national Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) partners write in opposition to the harmful new interpretation the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) of the definition of a “Federal public benefit” under the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act.
With a national network of nearly 300 community-based organizational partners in over 44 states and territories, APIAHF is the nation’s oldest national health advocacy organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of over 26.4 million Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) who would be irreparably harmed by the proposed rule.
