In continuation of advocacy efforts to protect Medicaid, APIAHF sent a letter to the Senate Finance Committee as they began considering the House government funding bill, urging them to reject harmful health-related proposals within it. Among the many items set forth in the House bill, the letter outlines the key provisions that would harm AANHPI communities: penalties for states providing health coverage to some foreign-born individuals, Medicaid work requirements, and increased Medicaid eligibility checks.
