A recording of the Writing SMART Goals and Objectives webinar that took place on March 30, 2011.
We know that you are SMART, but are your Goals and Objectives? Well-written Goals and Objectives are the foundation for solid program performance, monitoring and evaluation.
The hour‐long webinar will:
1. Teach about the difference between Goals, Objectives, and Indicators.
2. Teach about a variety of types of process and outcome objectives, and how to write SMART objectives of all kinds.
3. Explore common pitfalls in writing goals, objectives and indicators.
4. Demonstrate the connections between good goals, objectives and indicators and program performance, monitoring and evaluation.
About the Presenter:
Sonya Dublin, MPH/MSW, is a Capacity Building Assistance provider at Capacity for Health at the Health Forum. She has worked in the field of public health and HIV/AIDS prevention since 1995. She currently teaches the Program Planning and Evaluation course at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Sonya has edited hundreds of organizations’ program and evaluation plans and never tires of harassing folks to write better Goals and Objectives.
