WASHINGTON – Today, in a 7-2 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court decisively dismissed the challenge by Republican led-states and the Trump administration to end the Affordable Care Act. The resilient law has been repeatedly challenged in the courts and legislature despite its critical health care protections for millions of families in the midst of a global pandemic. For over a decade, this life-saving protection has been critical in insuring millions of Americans that are underserved, and it offers protections to communities like ours from barriers to health. APIAHF is proud to be one of the 10 organizations to join on the amicus brief spearheaded by the National Health Law Program in support of the ACA. We stand firm that all Americans deserve access to quality, affordable health care, and we will continue to advocate for our communities and the ACA.
