WASHINGTON—Following the Texas U.S. District Court judge’s decision to rule the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional, Kathy Ko Chin, president and CEO of the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) released the following statement:
“APIAHF condemns the court’s decision that puts the health of millions of Americans at risk. The judge’s action to strike down the entire Affordable Care Act is unfathomable, and the case will be appealed. We remind all Americans that regardless of this decision, the ACA is still the law during the appeal process. Open enrollment ends tomorrow, and we urge all to still complete their applications. We will continue to defend the right to quality and affordable healthcare.”
