APIAHF coordinated the translation of (Japanese, Korean, Marshallese, Samoan, Thai, Tongan, Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese) the Get Ready pandemic flu fact sheet from the American Public Health Association to help our communities prepare themselves, for the pandemic flu. Share them with those you care about or pass them out in your community!
There are very simple ways to protect yourself from the pandemic flu. Wash your hands often with soap and warm water. Wash your hands for as long as it takes to sing “Happy Birthday” all the way through twice. Stay home from work or school when you are sick. Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze and cough. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. If you end up getting sick, distance yourself from the people you live and work with to help prevent them from getting sick.
