According to Census 2000, Filipino Americans numbered 1,850,314 and are the second largest Asian ethnic group (U.S. Census Bureau, 2001).
Results from this study indicate that Filipinos in the United States are concerned about their overall health. There is highly consistent and convergent evidence that this population is at high risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
